Jerry W. Conaty, HFA Partner, Inducted as JB MDL's Honorary Commander

Updated: 7 days ago

Jerry W. Conaty, a Lanoka Harbor resident and Partner at HFA, was recently inducted into the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) Honorary Commander's Program. The JD MDL Honorary Program is a joint venture between military civilian leaders that pairs an Honorary Commander from surrounding communities with JB MDL commanders at the squadron, group and wing levels. The program is designed to increase awareness and understanding of JB MDL by introducing civic leaders to the missions, people, challenges, triumphs and day-to-day operations of organizations at the joint base.

"Honorary Commanders are invited to attend base functions and include their host unit commander in community and organization functions," said Bridget V. Gigliotti, Colonel, USAF Commander at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. "Although an Honorary Commander's term lasts one year, we hope the relationships last a lifetime."

Conaty is a board member with the American Red Cross of the Jersey Coast and Treasurer for The CSM Robert Gallagher Charitable Foundation, which was formed to honor Conaty's uncle, who was an Army Ranger, and to support local veterans. "I was thrilled to be selected to the program because our nation's military has always fascinated me and I have always had tremendous respect for what our military personnel do," said Conaty. "This opportunity also gives me the chance to better understand how the surrounding communities support the JB MDL and what a mutually beneficial experience it is for the military, as well as our local economies and communities."

Conaty has been a member of the HFA team for over 15 years. He has experience in construction and real estate development, governmental authorities, utility authorities and not-for-profit entities. His areas of expertise include auditing, consulting, forensic accounting, financial statement audits and single audits.
